Tour De Bank

Also an initiative run under the Banking and Financial Education and Literacy Program, Tour de Bank supports the OJK-sanctioned Financial Literacy initiative for schoolchildren, specifically those in primary schools. It teaches them the value of saving money and share it with others.

CIMB Niaga asks between 200 and 250 students to represent their respective schools to come and visit a designated office where they are introduced to different parts of the bank and how each works. They learn different transactional aspects of banking, including opening a savings account, make a depositing money at a teller's desk or a cash deposit machine. In order for them to view money-saving as an important part of their future life, a team takes a few or all of the participating students for some fun games. This is a program that CIMB Niaga regularly organizes. Starting in 2015, it has helped 4,300 students from 91 primary schools by 2018.
